The Stardale Basics Course

This course is an overview of Canadian indigenous history, the ramifications of that history, issues our girls face, and Stardale procedures.

Course Overview

  • Basic Canadian Indigenous History & Issues

    This section of the course covers an outline of historical knowledge surrounding Canadian Indigenous peoples and historical struggles traumas and leads into it’s impacts on modern day Indigenous people and communities.

  • Working, Volunteering and Mentoring with Stardale

    The second section of the course addresses the in’s and out’s of working with Stardale. This includes procedures, boundaries and roles as well as additional information on Stardale and our resources.

  • Specific Issues for Our Girls

    The final section of the course dives into specific issues many urban indigenous girls face. These include mental health issues, violence, trauma, education and more.
