Treaty Acknowledgment

We recognize and remain committed to the Articles of Treaty signed between the Blackfoot, Kainai, Peigan, Sarcee and Stoney people and her Majesty, on behalf of the Canadian people, signed on the 22 nd day of September 1877 for the land as described in the treaty, and on which we stand, in exchange for the several benefits, payments and Reserves promises so solemnly made. We are committed to abiding by and fulfill all the stipulations, obligations and conditions therein contained to the Chiefs and the Indians named as if we ourselves and the Bands were the originally contracting parties at Blackfoot Crossing. And we acknowledge the Metis Nations of Alberta, Region 111.
