Help Create the Next Circle
Stardale's young women share their cultures, stories and lived experiences through drumming, film, storytelling and conversation.
These gatherings create space to ask questions, challenge stereotypes and build greater understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
But meaningful change can't happen only among people who are already part of the conversation.
We want to bring these experiences into more of the places where everyday life happens: workplaces, schools, sports organizations, neighbourhoods and community spaces across Calgary.

The Work Behind the Circle
For nearly 30 years, Stardale Women's Group has supported Indigenous girls and young women through culture, education, mentorship and community.
That work is grounded in three interconnected commitments:
RESILIENCY
Building knowledge, confidence and skills for healthy, hopeful futures.
RECONNECTION
Strengthening identity and ties to culture, heritage and community.
RECONCILIATION
Challenging stereotypes and building understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

Make the Next Gathering Possible
Opening a door creates an opportunity.
Sponsorship helps turn that opportunity into a gathering.
It helps bring these experiences into the community, including appropriate compensation for the young women and Elders who contribute their time, knowledge and lived experiences.
You don't have to fund an entire gathering. Individuals, businesses and community organizations can sponsor all or part of one, contribute alongside others or bring supporters together.

Not every contribution needs to fund a gathering.
Donations support the broader work that makes these experiences possible and create more opportunities for Indigenous girls and young women to learn, connect, share and lead.
