Help Stardale Alumni Share Their Stories
Supporting Indigenous young women as they step into speaking opportunities, sharing lived experience and leading conversations that matter.
They were never meant to stay silent
Since 1997, Stardale Women’s Group has supported Indigenous girls and young women in building confidence, identity, and leadership.
Today, alumni are stepping forward as speakers.
They are bringing lived experience into schools, organizations, and community spaces where it can create change.
What makes that possible
Speaker training and preparation
Travel to schools, organizations, and community events
Honoraria that recognize speakers’ time and knowledge
Coordination to connect speakers with opportunities
“Storytelling allows the teller to give spirit to their message, to share their emotions, and to highlight the importance of the knowledge.”
-Helen McPhaden, Founder, Stardale Women’s Group
Indigenous young women are leading conversations that matter
They are speaking into the realities they’ve lived and witnessed.
Conversations around mental health and youth suicide, bullying and violence, MMIWG, human trafficking, intergenerational trauma, identity, and belonging.
This is not theoretical. It’s lived knowledge, carried into spaces that often haven’t made room for it.
When you contribute, you’re not just funding a program.
You’re ensuring these women can step into those rooms prepared, supported, and recognized for the knowledge they carry.
